Vita is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with over a decade of experience helping children and adults manage a wide variety of health conditions. She completed her dietetic internship at Montclair State University where she received the Joan D. Bernstein Clinical Excellence Award. She has a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health where she focused on social and behavioral sciences and obesity prevention.

Vita has extensive experience helping people manage their type 1 and type 2 diabetes, including use of continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump technologies. While working at the NYC Health Department, she led the development and implementation of the city’s Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) program.

Vita is experienced in the nutrition management of bariatric surgery candidates and recipients, and treats a range of inflammatory conditions, including cardiovascular diseases and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She has expertise in managing multiple types of eating disorder presentations including binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, atypical anorexia nervosa, other unspecified eating disorders, and restrictive anorexia nervosa in adults.

Vita’s approach to nutrition and lifestyle change for health, wellness and disease management is realistic, gentle, and non-judgmental. When working with her client, Vita aspires to help them develop and confidently meet health and nutrition goals while cultivating or maintaining a positive relationship with food and body image.

Vita enjoys running in her spare time and is a four-time marathon finisher. She enjoys theater, yoga, travel, and spending time with her dog, Bailey.
